The outer shell of LED waterproof lights is usually made of materials with strong corrosion resistance, such as stainless steel, aluminum alloy or special plastics. These materials can maintain the stability of their physical and chemical properties when exposed to corrosive media such as water, chemicals or salt spray, and are not easy to rust or degrade. Stainless steel has excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical strength, and is often used in LED waterproof lights in outdoor or industrial environments.
After special treatment, aluminum alloy can also have good corrosion resistance, and it is light in weight and easy to install. Special plastics such as polycarbonate PC have excellent weather resistance, impact resistance and chemical corrosion resistance, and are suitable for various harsh environments. The sealing parts of the lamps are also made of materials with strong corrosion resistance to ensure that the lamps will not seep water or leak air in humid or corrosive environments.
For LED waterproof lights with metal shells, electroplating or spraying is usually performed to form a protective film to enhance its corrosion resistance. For example, the stainless steel shell may be polished or passivated to further improve its corrosion resistance. Applying an anti-corrosion coating on the surface of the lamp can effectively isolate the corrosive medium from the contact with the lamp substrate, thereby extending the service life of the lamp.
The LED waterproof lamp adopts a sealed structure design to ensure that the interior of the lamp is isolated from the external environment to prevent moisture, dust and corrosive substances from entering. This design usually includes components such as sealing rings, waterproof joints and sealants, which together form a reliable waterproof and anti-corrosion barrier. For some LED waterproof lamps that need to be exposed to rain, drainage holes or drainage channels may also be designed to discharge the accumulated moisture inside the lamp in time to avoid moisture from corroding the lamp.
In marine environments or high-salinity areas, LED waterproof lamps need to have good salt spray corrosion resistance. By adopting materials with strong corrosion resistance and surface treatment processes, it can ensure that the lamps can operate stably and long-term in these environments. In industrial environments such as chemical and electroplating, LED waterproof lamps may be exposed to various chemicals. Therefore, the lamps need to have good chemical corrosion resistance to ensure that they are not damaged by chemical erosion.
